there be在英语里表示“某处存在某物”，其中be可以有数和时态的变化。例如
there is/are表示一般现在时，is后面加单数名词，are后面加复数名词。例如
There is some coffee in the cup.(杯子里有一些咖啡。)
there was/were表示一般过去时。例如，There were many locusts in the sky here last year.(去年这里的天空中有许多的蝗虫。)
there used to be表示“过去常常有…”，例如，There used to be a school in my village two years ago.（两年前我的村子里有一所学校。）
there will be表示一般将来时。例如，There will be a new school here next year.（明年这里将要有一所新的学校。）
there be4种句式
①There must be…肯定有……②There may／might be…可能有……（3）There can’t be…不可能有……④There used to be…曾经有……⑤There ought to／should be…应该有……（6），Theremust have been…一定已经有过……(表推测)⑦There may have been…可能已经有过……(表推测)⑧There appear／seem to be…似乎有……⑨There be likely to be…可能有……@There happen to be…碰巧有……
